International School Library Day

International School Library Day returns on 20 October 2020. This year, International School Library Day falls in the middle of the CBCA Book Week. It couldn't be better timing. The day and week are all about promoting literature, reading, school libraries and how they and their staff contribute and serve their school communities. It is a day for celebration. We invite you to get involved.

Your Child's School Library Livestream

Holly Godfree, ASLA Teacher Librarian of the Year (2019) and Students Need School Libraries campaign coordinator, will outline why your child needs a strong school library to succeed in school and in life in our modern world and also discuss the state of school libraries across Australia. What she says may surprise you!

Also, newly revised professional school library staffing recommendations will be unveiled that night. Find out how your child's school library shapes up and how to start the ball rolling to help your child get what they need.

Questions will be happily taken and answered during the session.

Alert!  We have decided to pivot from Facebook to Zoom for our online meeting on 20 October, International School Library Day, because we want to be able to have actual conversations with the parents who attend.
