Competition

We are over the moon about the 150 stories that were submitted for our 2023 Australian School Library Day competition.  #ASDL2023

Young and old, near and far, submissions were made from people positively impacted by school libraries in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.

And, now the news you have all been waiting for!  These well-loved school libraries will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to buy books for their school community.

A LIBRARY POEM

I opened up my book, and got a big surprise;

For there was a fairy, right in front of my eyes.

I turned the page, to take a look;

And there was a mermaid, swimming in a brook.

I cautiously whisked the page;

And a fiery dragon was in a rage.

On every page, in every tome;

Lies an adventure of its own.

And that is why my library;

Makes my heart jump with glee.
