The Minimum National School Library Standards across Queensland petition is closed.

The petition asked the Education Minister to guarantee that every state school in Queensland has access to a well-maintained school library under the stewardship of a professional library team, comprised of (at a minimum): a qualified Teacher librarian and a qualified Library Technician or trained Library Officer.

NSW

Students need school libraries: for improved academic outcomes, access to a qualified teacher librarian and a well-resourced library is a must

You must be a NSW resident to sign this petition.
This petition asks the legislative Assembly to acknowledge and support the appointment of qualified teacher librarians and support staff; Ensure that NSW public schools use their allocated departmental funding to fill the specialist teacher librarian role; Strengthen and value teacher librarians by ensuring they are used in the capacity for which they were employed, allowing their expertise to benefit NSW public school students.
